Amy Delisle is Partner at FREEDIN & ROWELL, LLP,  a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial Group and leads the firm’s Franchising, Retail & Distribution Group.

She regularly advises a range of corporate clients, including local start-ups, family owned businesses and national corporations on all aspects of business law, with an emphasis on franchise systems for both franchisees and franchisors.

Amy’s corporate/commercial practice involves mergers and acquisitions, the preparation, negotiation and review of commercial contracts, and shareholder and partnership advice. She also advises businesses with an online presence on website terms and conditions and privacy issues.

In the area of franchising, Amy has extensive experience in developing and implementing strategies that support the business and financial objectives of franchisors and franchisees. She brings expertise to assisting clients in all aspects of their business, including: franchise structuring and development; review, negotiation and compliance with disclosure requirements; drafting franchise agreements; advising foreign franchisors on operating in Ontario; implementing business structures; and negotiating and documenting the purchase and sale of franchised businesses.

Amy frequently speaks at seminars and legal conferences on franchise law issues.

She is a member of the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) and also sits on its Franchise Support Services/Supplier Committee.

Amy has also received her CFE (Certified Franchise Executive) designation. The CFE designation exemplifies a commitment and passion for franchising and the franchising community.

In 2022, Amy was recognized in Ontario as a top lawyer in Franchise Law by Best Lawyers and had been appointed to the Franchise Law Executive Committee at the Ontario Bar Association.

David Di Gregorio is a Partner at FREEDIN & ROWELL LLP where he leads the Banking and Financial Services Team and is a part of the Real Estate and Land Development Team.

He has a broad commercial real estate practice, representing large corporations, small businesses, real estate developers, financial institutions, and private lenders.

David’s commercial real estate practice is focused on: the purchase and sale of commercial properties and lands, and commercial leasing. In his secured lending practice, David advises financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in debt financing transactions of all kinds, including real estate financings, construction/project financing, asset-based lending and other credit facilities (secured, non-secured, domestic, revolving and term).  

Before becoming a lawyer, David received his Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 2007. He subsequently completed his J.D. at the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law.

Sukhdeep S. Sidhu is a Partner at FREEDIN & ROWELL LLP and a member of the firm's Corporate and Commercial practice group primarily focusing on Franchise, Retail and Distribution Law and Business and Estate Succession Law.

Sukhdeep advises new, emerging and established Canadian and international franchisors on all aspects of Canadian franchise law, including the drafting and preparation of franchise agreements, disclosure documents, master franchise agreements and manages franchisor relationships. Sukhdeep regularly assists franchisees with the review and negotiation of disclosure documents and franchise agreements and represents franchisees in the purchase and sale of single and multi-unit franchises. He has experience with incorporations, asset and share purchase and sale transactions, implementation of corporate reorganizations and drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts for small and medium sized businesses including but not limited to shareholders agreements, license agreements, supplier agreements and distribution agreements.

Sukhdeep continues to be actively engaged in growing his network of contacts in the Greater Toronto and surrounding areas.

Ian Wick is Partner at FREEDIN & ROWELL LLP and is engaged in a broad corporate/commercial practice.  His practice focuses on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, private equity, shareholder and owner relationship agreements and disputes and commercial agreements.

He is also a member of the firm’s Branding & Franchising group.  Combined with his Intellectual Property knowledge, Ian brings significant value to clients with their IT contracts (including procurement), licensing issues, e-commerce activities and other commercial transactions.

Ian is actively involved in managing business transactions, as well as ongoing advisory relationships with senior management for many of his clients.  He regularly advises companies ranging from family owned businesses to large multinational corporations, including publicly traded companies.
